We are seeking a talented and passionate Actor to join our Not-for-Profit Educational Organization in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have a flair for performance and experience working with diverse groups in a setting that focuses on teaching vital life skills. This is a Contract-to-Hire position that offers the opportunity to collaborate with our team to enhance educational programming through engaging performances.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position that offers the opportunity to collaborate with our team to enhance educational programming through engaging performances.

Responsibilities

• Develop and perform in educational productions aimed at teaching life skills.
• Collaborate with the Life Skills Course Coordinator to align performances with educational goals.
• Engage with students and participants to foster an interactive learning environment.
• Participate in rehearsals and provide feedback to refine performances.
• Assist with the creation of scripts, materials, and educational resources.
• Work closely with other team members to integrate performance art into broader curriculum initiatives.
• Attend regular meetings for program development and evaluation.
• Demonstrate professionalism and commitment to the values of the organization.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of acting experience, preferably in educational settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A background in education, drama, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
• Must be adaptable and able to perform in varied environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Passion for teaching and inspiring others through the arts.
• Willingness to travel locally as needed for performances and workshops.
