Position Summary:

The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is seeking a committed and knowledgeable NCLEX Success Faculty/Coordinator to support and enhance student achievement and NCLEX-RN readiness. This role works under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and Program Lead, and is vital in fostering student success through academic coaching, NCLEX preparation, curriculum enhancement, and faculty collaboration.

The NCLEX Success Faculty/Coordinator will serve as a mentor, educator, and advisor for students and faculty alike, and will help ensure that CHCP continues to meet or exceed state and national benchmarks for licensure pass rates. Core Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct instruction and remediation in nursing concepts and NCLEX content areas, including simulation-based learning.

  • Support and guide students referred for academic assistance; track and communicate student progress to leadership.

  • Facilitate workshops, tutorials, and focused remediation sessions to help improve NCLEX outcomes.

  • Oversee and coordinate success strategies for students identified at risk for NCLEX failure.

  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate with NCLEX Faculty Coordinators to improve programmatic outcomes.

  • Develop and implement tools and methods to assess NCLEX preparedness and academic effectiveness.

  • Recommend curriculum improvements to enhance NCLEX readiness based on data analysis.

  • Maintain accurate knowledge of NCLEX-RN testing frameworks and best practices in nursing education.

  • Represent CHCP at academic and clinical education conferences as needed.

  • Manage and analyze data, generate reports, and provide feedback to stakeholders regarding student outcomes and program effectiveness.

Qualifications:
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a professional nursing program.

  • Prior experience in a pre-licensure nursing program preferred.

  • Demonstrated commitment to student success and educational innovation.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, student databases, and assessment tools.
