Barbacks perform tasks to support the bartender and other staff members. They help with opening and closing duties, prepare and serve drinks, stock items, assist in the reordering process, and perform minor repairs.
Physically fit to meet the demands of the job, such as lifting liquor boxes and standing for long hours
Strong knowledge of bar menu items
Willing to work in night shifts and on weekends and holidays
Friendly, responsible and punctual
Speaking to customers, answering questions
Keeping the bar clean
Strong problem solving, commination, and interpersonal skills, ability to handle tense situations
With coworkers and customers calmly and rational
