Medical Billing Specialist (Temporary) to potential perm

Location: Danvers, MA (On-site) initially then remote after training

Schedule: 40 hours/week | Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM/8:00-4:30 PM

Duration: Temp to potential perm

Pay Range: $25 - $28/hour

A respected healthcare organization in the North Shore area is seeking an experienced Medical Biller Specialist to join their team on a temporary to potential permanent basis. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone passionate about contributing to patient-centered care in a mission-driven environment.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Manager of Reimbursements, the Medical Biller will be responsible for all aspects of physician and facility billing and collections, with a focus on palliative and hospice care services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage third-party billing, in patient billing, and collections for assigned services
• Submit accurate claims and follow up on outstanding accounts
• Collaborate with internal teams and external payers to resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulations

What You Bring:

• Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience
• At least 2 years of medical billing and collections experience, including hospital and facility billing
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word; strong data entry skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines
• High level of discretion in handling confidential information
• Professional demeanor and the ability to work independently
• Experience with Medicaid billing
