Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking a Business Data Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with our client in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey .


Overview


As a senior analyst, you will manage company-wide data systems and collaborate with internal and external teams to develop a single source of truth across the organization. Additionally, you will use data-driven approaches to identify root causes to problems and develop new business processes and solutions.


Responsibilities

• Manage company-wide data systems and related projects, supporting data governance for the business
• Collaborate with partner teams to drive results across the company, defining company technical requirements for systems and processes for development and/or enhancement
• Identify root causes to problems and use data-driven approaches to develop and implement new business processes and solutions
• Conduct analysis, interpret technical documents and processes, and draw valid conclusions regarding user needs and business requirements
• Provide technical guidance; develop and update user documentation, written instructions, training guides, and manuals; meet with users to provide information regarding system changes and enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in technical field, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering or related field required
• MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
• 5-7 years of experience working as a data/systems analyst, project management, process improvement, or similar role

Requirements

• Experience with analyzing large sets of data, ensure data integrity through operations management, track and drive systems enhancement tasks and related projects
• Ability to structure and perform complex analysis within Excel and related BI tools such as Tableau, Data Cubes, SAP BI or similar databases
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate complex or technical concepts into simple terms to working level teams as well as executives
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, navigating ambiguity, and managing competing priorities
• Organized, detail-oriented, and strong analytics experience

Shift


Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day work from home on Fridays)
