Deadline: November 10, 2026. Applications will be screened on a first‑come, first‑serve basis; the position may be closed without notice once a qualified pool is established. The Business Intelligence Analyst will collaborate with other analysts, department members, and IT to design and implement tools for data integration, visualization, and reporting. The role ensures accuracy and integrity of data within reports and dashboards. Develop data visualizations using Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SSRS. Create reports and dashboards to support business needs. Maintain evolving user expertise in department databases and reporting requirements. Process and mine complex multi‑source data, including cleaning and editing. Review all reporting to ensure accuracy and integrity of data. Assist in identifying and planning complex operational and administrative trend studies (e.g., crime data, response time, staffing). Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications & Working Conditions Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, statistics, or related field. Experience 1 year of related experience in SQL database management and Power BI or Power Automate. Preferred Qualifications 3 years progressively responsible experience in SQL database management. 2 years progressively responsible experience in Power BI and Power Apps. Knowledge Power BI. Microsoft Power App products, SQL, and SSRS Report Builder. Skills Strong interpersonal, analytical, verbal, and written communication. Strong assessment and problem‑solving. Advanced skill with personal computers, including spreadsheets, database management, and word processing. SQL skills for query needs and report writing. Excellent collaboration and communication to work effectively with stakeholders, developers, and data scientists. Abilities Maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, and other city departments. Handle situations with tact and diplomacy. Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Establish and fulfill goals and objectives. Research, analyze, present recommendations, and implement computer system changes and upgrades from various sources. Licenses & Certifications Required None. Working Conditions Light work involving moving no more than 20 pounds. Occasional standing/walking up to 31 minutes to 2.5 hours per shift. Occasional lifting 10 pounds overhead, carrying, walking, and standing. Frequent hand/eye coordination for computer use. Vision for reading and interpreting reports and data analysis. Frequent speech communication, hearing, and listening. Normal clean, comfortable environment; may require outside work or emergency vehicles. Equipment Used May occasionally use personal equipment (vehicle, cell phone, tools) in the course of employment.
