Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be asked to conduct all steps of a Phase I environmental site assessment in accordance with ASTM E 1527-21 and will be experienced and knowledgeable in conducting "Phase II" ESA work including hands-on soil and groundwater sampling and other related field work, and interpreting field testing and lab data with proficiency in the context of Chapter 62-780 FAC. The applicant will need to comfortably and confidently interact with our clients, including developers, national builders, business owners, attorneys, bankers, regulators, and property owners, as well as their superiors. The successful applicant must be an excellent technical writer and proficient with Microsoft and Adobe software.
Qualifications
A college degree is required, preferably with a major in the sciences or engineering. Since environmental consulting and assessment span multiple disciplines, experience can be substituted if the applicant can become an Environmental Professional (EP) with 5 years of experience, based on a combination of experience and education. Experience in real estate development, entitlement, law, or lending will be considered. The successful applicant will, first and foremost, be an analytical and critical thinker, capable of making decisions and confidently defending them.
Compensation
