COMPANY OVERVIEW: Our client is a manufacturer of and supply components for companies and contractors worldwide including Construction, Parts, Service, Repair. POSITION TITLE: Estimator - Cooling Towers COMPENSATION: Competitive base salary DOE + bonus BENEFITS: Standard package LOCATION: Chickasha, OK SUMMARY: The project estimator prepares competitive estimates for materials, labor, equipment, shipping, and taxes based on customer specifications. They work with sales, manufacturing, supply chain, project management, and construction teams to compile accurate project costs using in-house and outsourced resources.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintains cost database by entering and backing up data Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with ability to be a good listener and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, both inside and outside of the organization May be required at times to perform cooling tower inspections, climb through towers, perform physical tasks to gather information for estimating from inspection Strong sense of urgency and commitment to leading continuous quality improvement Strong attention to detail Ability to manage stress and work under pressure Technical/engineering background preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of business experience or related field Must have above average skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Experience of using business systems such as SAP, Epicor, Oracle, etc. Demonstrated success in project estimating Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain project specifications and solutions Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently and collaboratively ***PLEASE NOTE: We try to respond to everyone who applies for our jobs, but in periods of high activity it may not be possible.
