Family Therapist/Counselor/Social Worker - Thurston County (Thurston County, WA) Who we are The Institute for Family Development (IFD) is an international leader in providing services that keep children safe, strengthen families, and reduce out of home placement. We provide a range of in-home counseling services, including the HOMEBUILDERS model of Intensive Family Preservation Services, Functional Family Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and more. Who we want to hire We are looking for therapists/counselors with a commitment to making a difference in the lives of children, youth and families. We are currently hiring a full-time therapist in our HOMEBUILDERS program, with the option of starting part-time and working up to full-time if desired. The ideal candidate will live in Pierce or Thurston or Mason county or be willing to relocate. Homebuilders therapists: Maintain a small caseload of 2-3 families. Work with families in their homes and community locations. Schedule client sessions at times that are most helpful to families. Maintain availability to respond to their assigned families, or arrange coverage within their team if unavailable. Undergraduate candidates must have at least two years’ experience working with children and families. Valid driver’s license, a vehicle in good working condition, and automobile liability insurance that meets minimum agency requirements. Residence in Pierce or Thurstoncounty. Availability to work a flexible schedule to meet client needs (including some evenings and weekends). Satisfactory completion of a criminal history background check. At least 21 years of age.
