Job Description

Join Align Aerospace as an Aerospace Accuracy Expert:  Final Inspector Where Precision Meets Purpose

At Align Aerospace, you’ll be the final checkpoint before our precision fasteners — nuts, bolts, electrical connectors, and more — are cleared for takeoff. If you're driven by detail and fueled by purpose, we’ve got your seat ready.

Your Mission

Be the expert who signs off on safety. You’ll inspect and validate components to the industry's highest standards — AS9102, ISO 9001, and customer-specific specs. Every part you approve supports pilots, protects passengers, and powers global flight. This isn’t just a job — it’s a responsibility with altitude.

Your Station

Your own precision inspection station, right where the action happens. Our warehouse is warm in the summer and always buzzing. It’s hands-on, tool-forward work that rewards focus, skill, and stamina. If you like to get in the zone and at a fast space, this is your runway.

Your Tools

You won’t be guessing — you’ll be gauging. From calipers and micrometers to comparators and ring gauges, you’ll use top-tier tools to make precise calls that matter.

What Makes This Job Awesome?

  • Your Expertise Matters – The parts you inspect power aerospace safety and performance
  • Hands-On Training – Master our tools, parts, and systems with support from day one
  • Career Growth – Advance into lead or delegated inspector roles — your path is built in
  • Team Atmosphere – Work with sharp, supportive pros who care about doing it right

You’ll Be

  • Handling First Article Inspections (FAIs) and dimensional checks that ensure our aerospace fasteners are launch-ready
  • Verifying nuts, bolts, connectors, and components against blueprints, customer specs, and contract requirements
  • Decoding engineering blueprints/drawings and applying GD&T with confidence to ensure every detail is spot-on
  • Reviewing supplier certs, test reports, and quality documents with a sharp, investigative mindset
  • Logging inspection results and NCRs into SAP, keeping our data clean and audit-ready
  • Collaborating across teams –Sales, Customer Service, Customer/Supplier Quality teams, and Production – to prevent problems before they fly
  • Mentoring new junior (inbound) inspectors, sharing your technical know-how and raising the bar for the whole crew

Requirements You Bring:

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on inspection experience in aerospace, medical devices, or other high-precision manufacturing
  • Expertise with tools like micrometers, calipers, ring/thread gauges, and optical comparators
  • Deep familiarity with AS9100, AS9102, ISO 9001, and customer quality requirements
  • A sharp eye and decisive judgment – you’ve led FAIs and made tough calls with confidence
  • Strong organizational skills – from paperwork to multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Focus and grit – you’ll be seated at a desk, inspecting in a warm, active warehouse environment

What Does a Top Candidate Look Like?

  • You’ve caught the big ones – major discrepancies don’t stand a chance when you’re on the job, and you’ve saved the day more than once
  • You’re the “ask me” person – from setting up tools to reading blueprints and decoding specs, your teammates come to you first
  • Audits? No sweat. You stay cool under pressure and can fly through 25+ inspections a day without breaking a sweat
  • You’re a system ninja – organized, accurate, and totally at home in SAP or any ERP you’re handed
  • You’re a team player with solo skills – happy to collaborate, but fully capable of running your own inspection game from start to finish

Benefits We’re Proud Of

  • 401(k) with company match
  • Bonus opportunity annually
  • Medical, Dental, and FREE Vision Coverage
  • Company-paid Life and Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Paid Holidays + Generous PTO
  • Flexible schedules with your choice of Mon-Fri or 9/80.
  • Casual work environment – no lab coats, just casual jeans
  • Kickstart your shift in style – with our awesome shoe credit program!
  • Ongoing career development opportunities
