Job Summary: Fairfield Inn Charlotte Matthews is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Hotel Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our guests, staff, and property. The ideal candidate will maintain a visible presence, respond to incidents, and uphold Marriott’s commitment to a safe and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of hotel premises, including guest floors, parking areas, and public spaces.
• Monitor surveillance systems and access control points.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies, disturbances, and guest concerns.
• Enforce hotel policies and procedures to ensure a secure environment.
• Assist with guest safety during fire alarms, medical emergencies, or evacuations.
• Document all incidents, accidents, and suspicious activity in detailed reports.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Provide courteous assistance to guests and staff while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Inspect doors, windows, and locks to ensure proper security measures are in place.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in hotel security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
• Valid North Carolina security license (if applicable).
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
• Strong communication, observation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physically able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
