Reports To: CFO

Location: Beloit, Wisconsin (Ironworks Campus) - Hybrid Role

Salary Range: $115,000 - $160,000 annually

About Warranty Processing, Inc. (WPI): Warranty Processing, Inc. is a leading and stable provider of automotive warranty claims administration services , proudly serving approximately 300 customers across the United States . With a team of around 100 dedicated staff, we pride ourselves on efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement. We are looking for an IT Director who will be instrumental in leveraging technology to drive our next phase of growth and operational excellence.

Job Summary: WPI is seeking a highly accountable, results-oriented IT Director to serve as our top technology leader. This is a pivotal role for an innovator and driver who will not just manage our IT operations, but strategically partner with executive leadership to implement transformative solutions that directly enhance our profitability, efficiency, and security. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will own our IT roadmap, ensuring our technology infrastructure fully supports our business goals and contributes significantly to our bottom line.

This is a hybrid role requiring consistent, regular on-site presence at our Ironworks Campus in Beloit, Wisconsin. The successful candidate must reside within reasonable driving distance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic IT Leadership & Innovation (Driving & Innovating):

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that directly aligns with WPI's business objectives and growth plans.
  • Lead the assessment, selection, and implementation of new technologies to optimize business processes, enhance customer experience, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Drive major modernization initiatives, including the strategic replacement of legacy systems and the overhaul of remote desktop infrastructure (e.g., VDI solutions).
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the IT function and across the organization.

2. Financial Stewardship & Cost Optimization:

  • Manage the overall IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximizing return on technology investments.
  • Identify opportunities for IT cost optimization through vendor negotiation, cloud strategy, and efficient resource allocation.
  • Implement IT policies and procedures that balance technological advancement with fiscal responsibility.

3. Cybersecurity & Risk Management:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust cybersecurity strategy to protect WPI's data, systems, and customer information.
  • Oversee regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response planning to mitigate risks effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and data protection regulations.

4. IT Operations & Infrastructure Oversight:

  • Provide leadership for all IT operations, including network management, hardware/software support, and data integrity.
  • Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of WPI's IT infrastructure to support our daily claims administration services.
  • Optimize IT service delivery, ensuring high availability and responsiveness to internal user needs.

5. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team (including potential future hires), fostering a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and professional growth.
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO, Claims Operations, Sales, and other department heads to understand their needs and deliver impactful IT solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, building consensus and alignment on IT initiatives.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving significant technological change and delivering measurable business results.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic IT planning, infrastructure modernization (e.g., VDI, cloud migrations), and robust cybersecurity practices.
  • Exceptional financial acumen with experience managing IT budgets and optimizing technology costs.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with a proven ability to lead and develop IT teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive, highly accountable, and a strategic problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with the EOS® (Entrepreneurial Operating System) framework is a significant plus, or a demonstrated ability to quickly adopt and thrive within a structured, accountable management system.
