Job Title: Laser Process Technician Pay Rate: $60,000-$85,000. DOE Location: Paris, IL ZIP Code: 61944 Start Date: Right Away Shift: 1st Shift Keywords: #LaserProcessTechnician #ILjobs Position Summary The Laser Programming Technician is responsible for creating, refining, and editing laser programs for equipment used in the development and production of machined and fabricated parts. This role supports new and existing products and includes setting up and operating laser equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine laser programs using CAD software, including Unigraphics and SolidWorks.
• Support tooling and fixture design for machined and fabricated parts.
• Set up and operate laser equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records and revisions of all laser programs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and technical instructions.
• Follow quality systems, standard operating procedures, and safety protocols.
• Maintain housekeeping and apply 6S principles in the work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or prior experience in laser programming preferred.
• Demonstrated experience creating or editing laser programs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and instructions.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
• Good organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment.
• Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling/crouching, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Exposure to noise typical of a manufacturing environment.
