Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to support oncology patients at the Mission Leonard Cancer Institute. The LCSW will work as part of a multidisciplinary care team, providing emotional, psychosocial, and resource-based support to patients undergoing cancer treatment. This role is ideal for clinicians experienced in oncology or intensive case management within outpatient cancer treatment settings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized care plans

• Offer therapeutic interventions, including individual counseling to patients and families

• Coordinate care and referrals to internal teams and community-based programs

• Support patients in navigating housing, insurance, medical transportation, and medication resources

• Collaborate with oncology care providers and maintain accurate documentation in Epic

• Educate patients and caregivers on advance directives, resources, and coping strategies

• Address barriers to care and implement strategies to ensure continuity and quality of care

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of clinical social work experience required (3+ years accepted if in oncology setting)

• Travel experience required unless meeting the above experience criteria

• First-time travelers accepted if they have 5+ years of experience

• Must have reliable documentation of prior LCSW experience

• RTO must be submitted at the time of application

Qualifications Education:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in social work, 3 years acceptable in oncology-specific roles

License & Certifications:

• LCSW Required

• BLS Preferred

• State licensure in good standing for assignment location

Skills Assessment & Care Planning:
