Maintenance Mechanic

Currently hiring $36/hr Direct Placement Maintenance Mechanic in the Hammond, IN area. Hiring immediately.

Job Description

• Repair and maintain industrial machinery such as conveyors, shrink wrappers, stackers, ovens, sorters, power transmission, and palletizers.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems.
• Perform MIG and Stick welding on steel materials.
• Swap out AC/DC motors at 480V and perform basic electrical tasks.
• Work around PLC systems.
• Interpret and work from blueprints and diagrams.
• Realign and adjust mechanical components.
• Cut, thread, and install new pipe.
• Implement lockout/tagout procedures.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma
• Experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of production equipment.
• Proficiency in working with hydraulics.
• MIG and Stick welding skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $76128.00 - $76128.00/yr.
