Responsibilities for a Medical Billing Specialist include but are not limited to:
Obtain authorizations in a timely and efficient manner for scheduled patients.
Provide accurate cost estimates to patients prior to the start of treatment.
Scrub the Daily Appointment Report (DAR) to ensure all patients have active authorizations on file.
Assist with claims reimbursement for patients with grants.
Collaborate closely with the remote team and receive training from the Senior PAA.
Candidates for Medical Billing Specialist must meet the following requirements to be considered:
High School Diploma / GED (or higher).
Previous medical billing experience and authorization knowledge .
Ability to navigate major payor portals efficiently.
Oncology experience preferred (not required).
Business casual dress code; in-person interview required.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Location: Onsite at either MC or Bay Area Cancer Center.

Pay Details: $33.48 per hour
