You will be part of a cooperative team of neonatologists, neonatal hospitalists, and NNPs within a supportive, multispecialty organization that combines the independence of community practice with the resources of a large, integrated healthcare system.

Practice Locations:

  • Managing transport services and high-risk perinatal navigation
  • Accessing comprehensive pediatric subspecialty programs (including a small baby unit, neurocritical care, and neonatal surgery) through collaboration with a leading children's hospital

Mills-Peninsula Medical Center (Burlingame):

Hospitalists will deliver specialized 24/7 neonatal care, which includes:

  • Inpatient management for newborns (primarily Level I)
  • Coverage for a 6-bed Level II Special Care Nursery
  • Management of respiratory distress, jaundice, feeding challenges, and late-preterm infants (≥34 weeks)
  • Attendance in the delivery room and well-baby care
  • Coordination with neonatology, transport, and pediatric subspecialists
  • A strong family-centered care model emphasizing parent education, communication, and support

You will collaborate closely with neonatologists, obstetricians, and labor & delivery teams to ensure seamless care and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • Active California medical license (preferred; required prior to start date)

What We Offer:

  • A generous and comprehensive benefits package
  • Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance
  • A robust retirement plan
  • Relocation assistance
  • Opportunities for teaching, mentorship, research, and leadership
  • A large, collaborative multispecialty network
  • A supportive, collegial culture with autonomy in your practice
  • Flexible scheduling that encourages work-life balance
