Overview Job responsibilities for an Oracle Database Administrator role requiring hands-on experience with IBM AIX, Linux, and SUN Solaris UNIX operating systems. Responsibilities Hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA, working with Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g. Apply PSU patches across various Oracle database versions, with rolling upgrades for RAC systems. Upgrade of databases to 11gR2; rolling upgrades for RAC environments is a plus. Experience with Golden Gate implementation and troubleshooting. Install, configure and troubleshoot multi-node RAC systems on ASM. Upgrade and migration of large databases across the data centre. Identify performance bottlenecks and propose solutions. ASM instance creation and troubleshooting. Good understanding of Oracle architecture. Qualifications Proven experience as an Oracle DBA with Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g; familiarity with RAC, ASM, and GoldenGate. Experience on IBM AIX, Linux, and SUN Solaris UNIX operating systems. Experience with database patching (PSU) and rolling upgrades in RAC environments. Database upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.
