Paralegal Employment Type: Full-Time, Entry Level Department: Legal As a CGS Paralegal, you will provide a variety of direct assistance to USAO Victim-Witness personnel, AUSAs, legal assistants, administrative staff, and other USAO personnel. • Process evidence in various databases
• Assist attorneys in trial preparation
• Provide Apprentice examination of legal instruments
• Review legal instruments (completeness of information, proper execution)
• Conduct research and obtain additional information related to specific cases
• Determine correctness of action (per Government regulations, procedures, etc).
• Research records (to ascertain conditions that might preclude action)
• Provide assistance on instruments
• Provide information on instruments
• Gather facts for cases and routine reports
• Perform initial review of petitions
• Verify citations and legal references on legal documents
• Proficiency with numerous software including IPRO, CASEMAP, QUICKBOOKS, and MICROSOFT SUITE.

Qualifications :

• Attention to detail and the ability to read and follow directions
• Good oral and written communication skills
