Day Shift: 6:30a-7p, Night Shift 6:30p-7a

• The Patient Care Nursing Associate PCNA completes patient care activities as delegated by the RN.
\n
• PCAs perform duties including, but not limited to, ADLs, vital signs, I and Os, 12 lead ECG, bladder scan, hygiene and venipuncture where applicable.
\n
• Familiarity with using wheelchairs, EKG equipment, patient assistive devices, and patient care equipment specific to assigned population.
\n
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic, demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients and customers, basic computer data entry skills.
\n
• Experience in a large teaching hospital preferred.
\n
• One year job stability preferred.
\n

Qualifications

• High School Equivalent / GED required
\n\t
• BLS certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during UH Orientation.
\n
