Responsibilities: As a Park Attendant, you will play a key role in the following tasks: Opening and closing park gates, restrooms, and facilities on time. Inspecting park amenities such as playgrounds, restrooms, and equipment for safety and cleanliness. Performing routine maintenance, including trash removal and cleaning. Enforcing park rules and ensuring the safety and well-being of park patrons. Responding to emergencies and addressing concerns in a professional and decisive manner. Maintain records related to park operations and patron interactions. Assist with special events and other Parks & Recreation programs. Work closely with supervisors to ensure smooth operations. Develop positive relationships with park patrons and City staff. Maintain a fun and engaging environment for park visitors. Qualification Guidelines Desired Skills/Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow directions. Strong problem-solving skills, especially in emergency situations. Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Possess a valid Class C California driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. College coursework in parks management, recreation, or a related field is a plus. One year of experience in parks and recreation or a similar role. Experience working with the public is preferred. Special Requirements Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications. Willingness to use a personal vehicle for commuting between work sites if necessary.
