Senior Principal Software Engineer, Filesystems

What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.
13+ years of software development experience with one or more of the following programming languages: C, Shell/Perl/Python scripting
Strong debugging skills in system software (Filesystem)
Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments with strong Unix/Linux knowledge
Ability to triage, root cause and if possible fix issues found by QA in our internal testing
Effective collaboration skills to work with QA for getting releases with quality out to our customers on time
Experience in logging/resolving defect issues using a tracking system (like Bugzilla) and source control like SVN preferable
Previous work experience in a distributed-team environment using Agile methodologies
Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $240,000 - $310,000.
