Job Title: Structural Fitter – 2nd Shift

Location: Oakland Park, FL

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

About the Role

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our fabrication team as Structural Fitters in Oakland Park, FL. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on large-scale steel fabrication projects in a supportive, growth-oriented environment. Entry-level candidates with basic welding knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job specifications.
• Measure, cut, and fabricate structural components to meet code and standards.
• Align and position parts using clamps, bolts, and tack welds.
• Operate hand torches and tools to reshape or dismantle components.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders and materials.
• Conduct inspections and prepare reports as needed.
• Follow all company and customer safety procedures and policies.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG welding and structural fabrication preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform layout/fitting tasks.
• Familiarity with hand torches and basic fabrication tools.
• Previous structural fitting experience is a plus.
• Entry-level applicants with basic welding knowledge are welcome.
• Must pass a weld test during the interview process.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Additional Information

• Welding certifications are not required; certification can be earned on the job.
• Experience with flux core and stick welding is helpful.
• Candidates must bring their own welding hood and wear steel-toed boots.

Work Schedule

• 2nd Shift:
• Monday–Thursday: 4:30 PM – 2:00 AM
• Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Optional Saturdays
• Work is performed in an outdoor covered shop environment. Conditions may be loud and dirty.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
