Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a quick-start contract assignment . This role is critical to ensuring the proper decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment in accordance with industry standards and facility policies.

Contract Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed
  • Exceptions may apply during major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s)
• On-Call: Shared call rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment according to protocols
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
• Track and document instrument processing using the facility’s system
• Collaborate with surgical services and clinical staff to ensure timely instrument availability

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Sterile Processing experience
• Certification: Required (e.g., CRCST or equivalent)
• Health Requirements: Current TB clearance required
• License: State license not required
