Purpose summary:


Under general supervision, deliver aluminum extrusions on a 26' Non-CDL Straight Truck to area customers.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title:

• Operate a 26' Straight Truck (Non-CDL)
• Operate vehicle in compliance with all local, state, federal and company rules and in accordance with generally accepted practices of safe driving.
• Safely load and unload cargo as required
• Maintain ELD logbook in accordance with DOT regulations
• Complete vehicle inspection reports
• Review shipping papers for nature of load and special handling requirements as necessary
• Check load on trailer to determine if it is properly secured and safe
• Wear safety equipment when handling material
• Maintain the truck in a clean, safe and positive work environment.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Clean MVR with no more than one major violation within the past 5 years
• Have or be able to get a DOT Medical Card
• Lift and carry heavy material up to 75 lbs.; climb on and off a flat bed
• Be able to read, write and communicate in English effectively.
• Perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Read a tape measure.
• Be able to stand for extensive periods of time.
• Be able to bend over, reach upwards or outwards, twist, turn around and climb up and down.

Compensation includes a competitive Hourly Pay Rate, Overtime and Monthly Safety Bonus.
