The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring high productivity and stringent quality control. This role involves supervising staff, monitoring workflows, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and meeting client-specific KPIs related to productivity, order accuracy, and service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

· Team Management:

o Supervise, train, and assign tasks to warehouse personnel, ensuring the efficient use of labor resources.

o Provide regular feedback to staff to ensure productivity targets are met and quality standards are upheld.

o Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement.

o Ensure team compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures.

· Operational Oversight:

o Oversee daily order picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and storage processes to meet operational efficiency and accuracy goals.

o Supervise workflows to ensure minimal downtime and bottlenecks while adhering to established timelines.

o Ensure compliance with client-specific requirements and service level agreements (SLAs).

· Inventory & Quality Assurance Supervision:

o Supervise inventory control processes, including cycle counting and stock reconciliation, to maintain inventory accuracy.

o Ensure the proper handling, storage, and shipment of goods to avoid damage and meet client specifications.

o Implement routine inspections of outbound orders to ensure packaging quality and accuracy.

· Productivity Supervision:

o Monitor staff performance to ensure productivity goals are met, such as orders picked and packed per hour.

o Provide hands-on supervision to adjust workloads and reallocate staff as necessary to meet fluctuating demand.

o Use data from Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track performance and report on individual and team productivity levels.

o Suggest workflow improvements to the Warehouse Manager for enhancing overall operational efficiency.

· Quality Assurance Supervision:

o Supervise adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality standards are consistently met.

o Oversee regular quality checks on orders to confirm they meet client specifications, ensuring minimal errors or returns.

o Report any quality issues, discrepancies, or deviations from standards to the Warehouse Manager and assist in implementing corrective actions.

o Train staff on proper quality control measures, ensuring they are aware of client-specific requirements and handling instructions.

· Client Service & Communication:

o Act as a point of contact for internal departments regarding client-specific requirements, ensuring clear communication of instructions to the warehouse team.

o Collaborate with the client services team to handle special requests or address issues related to quality or order timeliness.

o Resolve any operational issues that could impact service quality, escalating more complex concerns to the Warehouse Manager.

· Compliance & Safety:

o Supervise daily operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

o Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure that all staff follow safety protocols.

o Report any safety incidents or near misses and work with the Warehouse Manager to address hazards and improve workplace safety.

· Reporting & Analysis:

o Provide daily and weekly performance reports on productivity, order accuracy, and quality assurance to the Warehouse Manager.

o Participate in team meetings to provide feedback on operational performance and suggest improvements.

o Assist the Warehouse Manager in reviewing performance against KPIs and implementing corrective actions when needed.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), reporting tools, and data analytics software.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and ERP systems.
  • Experience with data analysis and performance tracking to drive operational efficiency.
  • Ability to interpret and generate reports on key warehouse metrics, including productivity, inventory accuracy, and quality control.
  • Understanding of automation tools and warehouse technology solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to use data-driven insights to improve warehouse operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting and presenting findings.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Experience in a supervisory role within a 3PL, logistics, or warehouse setting preferred.
  • English fluency required; Spanish fluency preferred.

Work Conditions

  • Salary: $60,000 (negotiable based on experience)
  • Full time On-Site Employment
  • Location: Secaucus, NJ
  • Hours: M-F, 8AM to 5PM
