Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:
  • Bachelors degree and/or 3-5 years of general professional experience in an office or administrative setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret academic curriculum and technical documentation.
  • Evidence of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams) and comfort working in complex systems.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in any programming language present in the TIOBE Index.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Degree Works, especially in scribing or audit review
  • Familiarity with academic advising or registrar operation
  • Experience with Banner or similar student information system
  • Knowledge of Texas States academic catalog and core curriculum
  • Understanding of curriculum approval processes and degree program structures
Job Description:

Responsible for facilitating the implementation and continuing operation and enhancement of the degree audit reporting system.

Job Duties:
  • Collect and organize approved curriculum and catalog changes from academic departments and colleges.
  • Translate academic program requirements into structured documentation for use in Degree Works.
  • Perform basic scribing and updates to degree audit blocks in Degree Works.
  • Assist in testing and troubleshooting degree audits to ensure accuracy and alignment with the academic catalog.
  • Collaborate with the Systems Analyst to maintain timely and accurate audit updates.
  • Maintain detailed change logs and documentation of audit modifications.
  • Communicate with academic departments and advising teams to clarify program requirements and ensure consistency.
  • Identify and flag potential issues or discrepancies in audit logic or catalog interpretation.
  • Support the implementation of new programs or revisions by ensuring accurate audit representation.
  • Participate in training or meetings related to curriculum updates, audit processes, or system enhancements.
