About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Business Development Officer to spearhead its global sales teams. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and maintaining the company's leadership position. This pivotal role requires a blend of strategic vision, creativity, and hands-on leadership experience, with a deep understanding of the markets served. Key responsibilities include leading and inspiring sales teams, coordinating sales efforts across various business segments, and promoting cross-selling. The role also involves identifying and pursuing new market opportunities, monitoring sales metrics, and providing direct leadership to the sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in senior sales roles, strong leadership and team management skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders worldwide. Candidates for the Chief Business Development Officer position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, with an MBA preferred. A successful candidate will have a background in the global academic and/or learning content industry, with experience in diverse cultural environments and a solid understanding of global market dynamics. The role demands excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, as well as proficiency in digital marketing tools and CRM software. The Chief Business Development Officer will be expected to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and must be prepared for frequent travel, including international. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage time effectively and ensure the efficient allocation of resources.
