Job Summary
The Collateral Analyst will play a key role in overseeing and managing collateral documentation and reporting for client portfolios. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities efficiently. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with data, collaborating with internal and external partners, and supporting the integrity of our collateral management processes.
Key Responsibilities
Collateral Review and Management
Review periodic collateral custodial reports for assigned client portfolios.
Identify, track, and categorize collateral exceptions and outstanding items.
Coordinate with sellers and third parties to obtain missing or curative documents.
Respond to collateral-related requests and perform additional duties as assigned.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of custodians and custodial accounts under company management.
Work closely with document custodians to ensure timely receipt and accuracy of custodial reports.
Update and maintain collateral information in internal systems and databases.
Assist in evaluating and managing relationships with vendors and service providers involved in collateral processes.
Support the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and client use.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with relevant databases or collateral management systems.
Knowledge of real estate and mortgage industry practices preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven follow-up abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
