Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Data Manager . This is a remote contract role. Candidates based in the Chicago area will have a hybrid schedule of two in-office days per week.
The Data Manager plays a key role in ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant data management. This position will oversee data collection, storage, analysis, and governance, collaborating across teams to enhance data quality and leverage insights for business growth and operational excellence.

• 5+ years of experience working with marketing data and metrics, ideally in a marketing agency or related environment
• Strong understanding of data management principles, data modeling, cleansing, and governance
• Proficiency with data tools such as AirTable , Excel , and visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI
• Ability to manage large, complex data sets and apply statistical or data mining techniques
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing platforms, and digital marketing channels a plus
• Knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) preferred

• Oversee data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting processes to deliver accurate, timely insights for marketing initiatives
• Maintain, update, and organize data across multiple systems, ensuring completeness and consistency
• Conduct regular data quality checks, audits, and cleansing to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with analytics, IT, and business teams to develop and uphold data governance standards
• Optimize data storage and retrieval systems to improve accessibility and efficiency
• Provide support for data-related inquiries and train users on data processes and tools
• Identify workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and data accuracy
  Compensation Information
  The expected pay rate for this position is market hourly rate $45 - $58/hr: depending on experience and qualifications.
