We are seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney with a background in tax law to join our team. This role requires a detail-oriented, client-focused attorney who can provide comprehensive estate planning services, including drafting wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents, while also offering specialized advice on tax implications and strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax law as it applies to estates, trusts, and gifts, and will work closely with clients to ensure their estate plans align with their financial and tax goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
• Advise clients on strategies to minimize estate and gift tax liabilities.
• Provide guidance on the tax consequences of various estate planning techniques, including charitable giving, business succession planning, and asset protection.
• Assist with the creation and administration of trusts, including revocable, irrevocable, and charitable trusts.
• Guide clients through complex estate and gift tax matters, including the use of tax-deferred strategies.
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as financial planners and accountants, to provide clients with a holistic estate and tax planning strategy.
• Represent clients in tax-related estate disputes or when facing tax challenges from the IRS.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in estate planning and tax law to provide accurate, up-to-date advice to clients.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• LLM (Masters of Taxation)
• Licensed to practice law in Florida
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning law with a strong focus on tax implications.
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws, including estate, gift, and generation-skipping taxes.
• Strong analytical and drafting skills, with a focus on clarity and precision.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and tax concepts to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience with high-net-worth individuals and complex estates.
• Strong client relationships and a track record of successful estate planning strategies.
• Prior experience working in a law firm or private practice.
