Our client is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace).
About the Role We are seeking proactive and hands-on Production Engineers to support commercial derivative aircraft programs in a dynamic factory environment. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive on the production floor, enjoy solving complex problems in real time, and are passionate about collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and efficiency in aircraft manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities - Apply broad knowledge of engineering principles to assess and resolve product and process issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead root cause analysis and develop interim and final engineering solutions for technical, operational, and quality issues.
- Design structural and electrical rework/repairs to restore aircraft systems to original design capability.
- Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and participate in design reviews as a subject matter expert.
- Represent engineering in the build and post-production environment, ensuring compliance with Boeing standards.
- Develop and implement product and process improvements using innovative approaches.
- Analyze reported problems for potential safety issues and manage complex resolutions.
- Lead on-site repair teams and support accident investigations.
- Design jacking and shoring schemes, interim structural repairs, and conduct static strength analysis.
- Develop and lead non-destructive test procedures and technical training programs.
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience designing structural and electrical rework/repairs for aircraft systems.
- Previous experience with commercial Material Review Board (MRB) processes (airline environment).
- Willingness to work all shifts and overtime in a factory setting with exposure to noise, chemicals, and confined spaces.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.
Preferred Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, or aircraft electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading and creating engineering drawings, specifications, and design manuals.
- Experience in defect resolution and root cause analysis for production or in-service issues.
- MRB/UPR approval authority certification.
- Experience with executive interior installation/design and wide-body aircraft modification and repair.
- 5+ years of experience in product/process improvement initiatives.
Education - Bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- ABET accreditation preferred but not required.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience (e.g., Master's + 7 years, PhD + 4 years) will be considered.
