Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of medications and pharmaceutical supplies to our customers. This role requires a high level of customer service, attention to detail, and adherence to all health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Services: Transport medications and supplies from the pharmacy to patients' homes.
Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, including confirming delivery details, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
Compliance: Follow all company policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations regarding the transportation and handling of pharmaceutical products.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and documenting delivery times.
Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the delivery vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies. Report any vehicle issues promptly.
Safety: Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure safe delivery of products.
Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with the pharmacy team and customers.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous delivery or customer service experience preferred.
License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Skills:
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in using GPS and other navigation tools.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, sit for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Work Environment:
The role requires driving in various weather conditions and delivering to multiple locations.
May involve evening and weekend shifts depending on the pharmacy's hours of operation.
