Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans, as well as identifying and documenting software defects. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products and enhance overall product reliability. Some travel to Florida for test events will required.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
Conduct testing activities including functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and integration testing.
Identify, report, and track software defects using bug tracking systems, and actively participate in defect resolution processes.
Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify testing requirements and clarify specifications.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts and tools to increase test coverage and efficiency.
Analyze and interpret test results, generate comprehensive reports, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
Work closely with the development team to ensure early detection of defects and facilitate prompt issue resolution.
Continually enhance the testing process by identifying opportunities for test automation, process improvements, and implementing industry best practices.
Stay up to date with testing methodologies, tools, and industry trends, and actively contribute to the improvement of the test engineering discipline within the organization.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Test Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
Proficiency in designing and implementing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Experience with testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
Familiarity with test automation and performance testing tools.
Solid understanding of programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C#.
Knowledge of database concepts and experience in SQL.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with agile development methodologies.
Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
