The Boeing Company is looking for a
Tooling Mechanic - General Machinist to join our Tooling & Emergent Operations Team in
Berkeley, MO .
Position Responsibilities: \n - Fabricate, maintain, modify, & install various forms of tooling, such as large and small engineering test fixtures, fabrication equipment, etc. in collaboration with engineering design teams
\n - Utilize CNC equipment to fabricate or modify various components (Mazak mill, Mazak lathe)
\n - Utilize manual equipment to fabricate or modify various tooling components (Examples: Bridgeport Mill, Marvel saw, surface grinder, drill press, etc.)
\n - Other responsibilities to include: 3D Model Interrogation, Blueprint Reading, Tooling Inspection, Laser Tracking

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): \n - 1+ years of experience working in a tooling, manufacturing or fabrication environment
\n - 1+ years of experience with CNC machining in a production environment
\n
\n
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): \n - Associate's degree and/or trade school certificate and/or equivalent military experience
\n - 1+ years of experience as a machine operator, writing and editing CNC programs
\n - Experience in CAD/CAM software
\n - Experience working with Mastercam
\n - Experience operating manual mill and manual lathe machines
\n - Experience using inspection tools (e.g., Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, CMMs, Laser Trackers, Portable Arms, Optical Comparators, etc.)

Shift: This position is for variable shift. The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned.
New Hires, as well as employees who transfer from non-union positions, may be required to attend some type of training upon their start. Once any required training has been completed all new employees will be considered on probation for a period of 120 calendar days. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of any required training and the probationary period.
Union: This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinists (IAMAW 837) Collective Bargaining agreement.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $23.65/hour - $30.65/hour to start, with maximum potential to earn $47.76/hour, at top pay.
