Location: Book Tower Detroit
Position: Valet Driver
Shifts with Days: 6am-2pm, 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 5pm-2am (Thursday-Saturday)
Pay: $15 an hour, plus TIPS!!!
This is position requires to obtain Parking Valet Attendant License.
MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
The Valet Parking Attendant
The ideal candidate for a Valet Parking Attendant position at Metropolis Parking is energetic, outgoing, polite, responsible, and professional; works well under pressure, enjoys servicing people, and possesses strong customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal). The ability to perform physical activities such as running, lifting, and bending is a requirement of the position.
Valid driver's license required .
Ability to drive a manual transmission preferred, but not required.
As a Valet Parking Attendant, you will be responsible for and expected to
Create positive customer experiences by consistently providing excellent, 5-star service to Metropolis Parking's clients and customers
Safely park and retrieve customers' vehicles in designated valet parking storage area
Assist customers and/or guests with luggage and other items, encouraging a positive arrival and departure experience
Monitor the parking/drive up area to keep the flow of vehicles organized (barricades, directing traffic, calling cabs, etc. as needed)
Assist guests, customers and staff with general inquiries about parking, site location, directions, amenities, attractions, etc.
Other duties as assigned
Essential Functions
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodations. Stand for up to six (6) consecutive hours
Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Move quickly and carefully throughout the parking area
Communicate effectively in spoken English with team members and customers
Lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
Position Qualifications
Skills and Abilities Reliability and responsibility
Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED preferred
Other Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
Expected to constantly work in all outdoor weather conditions
Required to wear a uniform and follow appropriate grooming standards
Physical Demands and Work Environment
